lyrics

Enough About Me Joe Woodard

Enough about me, I’m intrigued by the novel idea of becoming invisible
The funny thing about egos, they thrash and they squirm
Like an animal chasing a wagging tail
Enough about all of my far-fetched ideas
That come from a place of renown
Let’s touch upon happier subjects
For instance, the weather

Enough of this fretting about petty
Crimes of the heart, who has time for such trivia?
If you take things too seriously, things might take you along
On the road to oblivion
Let’s talk about you and the things that you do
We’ve gazed in my mirror far too long
The flows interrupted, we’re standing corrected
Caught crooning some Carpenter’s song

Enough is enough, I’ve got to
Escape from myself
And if you don’t mind, I’ll fall into
Your state of mind for awhile
